Got this off NS.com, thought i'd help spread the word. The more people that sign it the better
Hi all, attatched is a petition started by The Mayor of Port Adelaide, Gary, to have the government help build a racetrack in Adelaide. He says he has the support of several ministers so if you can help by getting some numbers on paper it can't hurt. If you are keen, print out the attatchment and get as many autographs as possible and get it back to me. This is a real chance to have a drag race track in Adelaide again but it does require some work on us. You will need to supply names and address for this petition. As soon as we generate enough interest Gary (a Drag racer himself) can put it forth to the higher powers. If you can help out that would be great as the streets are full of boy racer wanna be's and this is a chance to help all out, get them off the street and onto the track! Attached File(s) race_track_petition.pdf ( 291.46k ) Number of downloads: 73

There is a petition in the letters section of the latest Dragster magazine done by Peter Cook. Says it is in OG Speed Shop-Klemzig, Motormate-Elizabeth/St Marys, Outlaw Speedshop-Adelaide, DRW Automatics- Lonsdale and Thunderbird Slotcar Racing- Salisbury South. Seems to be lots of petitions doing the rounds, hopefully something comes of it. The best thing SA guys can do is get out and race at the 1/8th mile tracks-Whyalla, Coonawarra and Riverland/Waikerie. The reason for this is I have just filled out paperwork for the feasibility study for the Melbourne Track. The thing they are looking at is the level of support and involvement in the sport. If the already established tracks have very low levels of members/competitors I doubt any number of petitions will help. The old put your money where your mouth is comes to mind. If people wont spend money and get involved the powers that be will most likely think the same.
