Default no brake, number plate or dash lights

hi fellas, yesterday i removed the rear bar to remove the tow bar, this involved disconnecting the light plug..i just pulled it back through and left it in the boot didnt reconnect it and went for a quick drive the indicators were really dull and the climate control blinked with the indicators..obviously the wires were touching..quickly chopped off the end and she is all good now except no brake lights? wtf..last night i reconnected the trailer plug but still no good, the number plate and dash lights as well as rear park lights were working just no brake lights battery ended up flat so chucked it on charge, this morning i put the battery back in, everything ok same as last night just no brake lights..10 minutes later no park lights no rear number plate lights and nothing on the dash lights up!?

Have i ****** something up? would cutting off the end of the trailer lights cause issues like this?

Is there just the one fuse? i swapped it with the horn relay and the fuse is fine, also unplugged the switch and bridged the connections and still no lights. Indicators and reverse lights work.

Looking like a trip to the auto elec..

hmm, that looks like its the problem, there is no power at the switch. Thanks mate, what would be the cause of that?

double check the fuses the best way is to earth the test lamp and turn the ignition on then check there is power at both sides of the fuse. the reason I recomend this is I have seen fuses that look fine but are open circuit
