Default are ther any Diesel owners?

hi all,

im just trying to gauge how many diesel owners are on here?
i have a late 2011diesel fiesta and so far im happy with how my car drives and how cheap it is to run...nothing like my other car modified turbo forester but good for a micro car.

todate, ive had issues with front disk warping at 39000km and front speakers distorting but appart from that all seems ok but ive not had the car very long.

i was looking at tunit or dieselchip plug and play piggy back tunes which raises kw from 66 to 85 and torque 200nm to 250mn with better economy and wondering if its really worth it. i dont think an exhaust system will do anything much as its such a small diesel but im open to suggestions.

has anyone completed any "performance" mods to their oilers?

Same motor in different format ie the 1.6 Peugeot HDI engine produces 80/85kw and 240 nm torque with 260nm on overboost.
I had that motor in a Peugeot 307 2005-2006 and it was great.

Ford should really give the higher kw/torque option on the Fiesta -its available in Europe and with a 6 speed manual.

Economy on the 307 was high 4,s ie 4.9ltr/100kms from memory on mixed urban /interurban. on a country run it used to fall into the 3, s.

Wow!
That's some pretty good improvements for the diesel version.
Talking about about a plus 30% hp gain. Awesome.
As they give a money back quarantee I'd give it a go.

This member posted a download link, with instruction, on how to do it myself. One week on, the unit hasn't played up once. Three different dealers told me to virtually 'Live with it.

I'm pretty sure it is still a 5 speed over there, Auto is 6.

I'll be honest mate. I don't think you would achieve those performance gains, you may be suprised though. Maybe speak to a local diesel tuner or tuner who can do a custom tune.

See if you can get a bluefin tune from tigersoft here in melbourne. They are doing discounts on their units. I paid $540 for mine. Its a proper ecu remap.

My advice, stay away from those resistors in fancy boxes, they only increase fuel pressure and dont adjust anything else, so overtime your doing engine no favours.
