Oh, I forgot to mention, I filmed that video, a LONG time ago, as is evident by the kays on the clock. Cheers, One Mad Man

NL Tickford Fairlane with 5.0 was a nice car. It had 195Kw with sports suspension. I had a drive of one, it had nice smooth power. |

One of the best combinations of seating and chassis in history, close behind was the R16.

R12 was very good with comfortable seating and a chassis that could survive North Africa, too.

Something like this doesn't come along very often, basically a brand-new BF MK II Fairmont Ghia. Finished in Icon blue with the lovely China Beige interior.
https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/det...G-AD-20576661/ I'm not sure if others have noticed this, but it seems Falcon prices have gone down recently. The cars below seem pretty well priced for what they are, low km, tidy, nice spec.................. This one owner AU Fairmont with only 38,000km on the clock, has the wrong exhaust system though. https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/det...E-AD-16126899/ BA Fairmont Ghia with only 31,000 km on the clock, one owner, Winter White. Although the rust in the engine bay is a bit alarming. https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/det...E-AD-16308504/ BA Fairmont Ghia with 76,000km on the clock and in one of my favorite colours, Congo Green. Actually, it's rare to see that colour without peeling clear coat. Congo was discontinued not long after the BA launch, mid 2003. Actually, I wouldn't mind buying this and taking it to the next level. https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/det...E-AD-18357594/

Some superb spots there! A veritable feast of unicorn eggs.
There was a bad batch of bonnet strut pivot pins, I’ve seen them corrode like that before. |

Pulled the trigger on a new daily roundabout.. tidy stock standard N/A XR6 ute for 11.5k which seemed good value in the current market.. caryards are trawling Marketplace pretty hard for anything they can get some profit on, missed out on some similar options for the same price only to see them pop up for sale the next day for 50% plus mark up
After daily driving tuned turbo's for years I got a nice surprise when I filled up the ute for the first time, decent range!

Whilst it’s a nice car, it definitely doesn’t fit into the good value category.

Used? With only 85km on the clock, probably not. Value? I'd say so, if the worst were to happen and I needed to replace mine.

Figured if I could get him down on the price a little bit and it looks like it won’t need too much work for rego, I might make a grand or two on it and maybe save it from being trashed. |

Been umming and arring about this gem for 2 days now:
2013 Nissan Pulsar ST-L 67,500Kz. Slight clear coat peel, mint. $6k firm - no offers. If it was Auto, It would be mine for the next big flip. Great thing for the money.. if you need a rock solid thing, hard to pass this up for the $$$. https://www.facebook.com/share/1AyVtKtmps/ One Mad Man

This would be ok, 2JZ GTE powered.
They could have cleaned the drivers door card before taking pics. Does anyone know how much Carsales charge dealers per enquiry? https://www.facebook.com/share/1AoQZ...ibextid=79PoIi |

Just came across this 2016 FGX XR6 Turbo Ute with only 16,000km on the clock.
"Great opportunity to own a low km FGX in it's last year of production. Suits a collector." No it wouldn't. The vehicle has been slammed and the engine heavily modified. A collector won't want that................especially for $60,000. https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/det...&utm_id=587571

But, "Holy Floor Finance, Batman". The list price for a typical XR8 in 2016 was $57K when new. I don't have exact figures to hand, but the floor finance (surely?) would be around 10%p.a. The floor finance cost to date is probably around $65K and the list price would have to be north of $130K for the dealer to break even????? |

Asking for a friend: low mileage C200 Merc with the turbo four cylinder engine.
https://www.miltonvehiclebrokers.com...s-Benz%5D=C200 Got a reasonable review at the time. https://www.carsguide.com.au/car-rev...iew-2014-29271 Hes coming out of a 2007 Accord. Not wedded to the MB badge, just seeking value. I did suggest it might be more difficult to resell in the future than a volume seller, but not a concern, apparently. Also thinking of a c250 from a similar era with the 2.0l engine. https://www.autotrader.com.au/car/14...pinkenba/sedan

Build quality seemed pretty solid for a modern Mercedes. I liked it enough to consider buying a diesel wagon in September 2023 but there were no V6s on the market. The four cylinder diesel wagons were priced from around $12k-20k back then depending on year and mileage. Your link would be on the higher end of the market. Looking back I’m glad I didn’t buy, my driving doesn’t consist of any twisty roads to justify the below average ride quality. But after hiring a lot of common shit from rental companies, I’ve realised a decent ride quality isn’t an expectation most car buyers have when choosing a car. |
