Default Re: Is a 1990 Holden HSV VN Worth $1mill+ ???

My old man had a VL Walkinshaw when these came out, so I was watching them then. At the time, they looked nice, because it was fresh. New shape, and all. Coming from a period of boxed lines. As a Ute guy, the VN was fresh. But the Toyota Lexen was a cop-out.
I owned an XE S PAC, (at the time, wishing it was an XF or EA Fairmont Ghia). Fords were always cheaper. Mates with Holdens, were from the wealthier suburbs.
What were the sayings? Fords rusted, but we’re reliable. Holdens broke??
Holden buyers didn’t have an issue paying more back in the day. And it seems they think the same today. There’s a huge Holden fan base, so I expect there are quite a few of them that are cashed up. Holden’s racing success. And Brocky (Polarizer or not).
Factor in Collectors, Cashed up Bogans, BoysTown Lottery type buyers, Boomers, Powerball, Crypto, Successful Business owners, and sadly someone with Cancer. I reckon this type of auction will achieve more than the car is worth.
That’s my opinion (a humble Ford guy).
