Check your footwear soles after you fill up. I have rubbermats in my car and dont enter the house after filling up-the footwear gets chucked in the hatch which is covered with two large flattened removal cardboard boxes. If you walk into teh house with diesel covered soles it makes a hell of a mess. Diesel fill points are filthy places. I always wash my hands in the servo rest room if they have one. I drive a truck and diesel makes it a grubby occupation.
Also if you start your car in a garage attached to a house have some doors or windows open to offset the crap these things put out the pipe at start up.
