Just stumbled across this thread and I must admit that I was stupid enough to call Shannons as I’m getting a new ute. After the best part of 30 minutes on the phone, the call was abruptly ended as they have strict conditions on vehicles of this value, so he says, and they will not offer insurance for this type of vehicle unless it’s locked in a garage overnight, blah blah.
Then I remembered how difficult they were to deal with when I got my Trans Am. Moral of the story is that I went elsewhere and got a better deal.
