Default Things that were over engineered - in the bestest possible way - that last and last

Thought I'd start a conversation about things that have served you well in life. Things that you have put your hard earned $$$ down on the counter for, and still use that item everyday. Could be anything, a fridge, a torch, a tool etc. You get my drift. Very interested to hear your thoughts. Be a good way to start junk shop ping. (intentional spelling)

Any hoo,

There I was sitting in the nerve center (my study) clicking away and noticed that my Microsoft ItelliMouse's

left single click button had started to show signs of wear. The micro switch was starting to go soft. I sometimes had to triple click to obtain a double click. Or conversely, click once on a hyperlink to find that the page I was waiting for didn't load.
So the mouse is on it's last legs I hear you say, no biggie rite? Hang on a minute..

I bought this mouse in 1995... and have used it daily for 20 years! It cost me about $78 from memory. Still going strong. WAY over engineered, in the best possible way. Not like today's products which suffer from built in obsolescence.
Quick example of this: Russell Hobbs air fryer. Used it twice. It then sat in the shed for a couple of years. Decided to use it the other day, and the TV turned off.?? Like a true WTF moment. It didn't spark, smoke or carry on. It fired up, and after about 10 seconds tripped the circuit breaker. Reset circuit breaker, check the fryer to make sure no pesky little vermin had crawled into the box it came in, and nope, all good. The fryer was dead Fred. Cost me over $200 for 2 uses.

Now if you want to talk about things that have wheels.. I'm all ears.
One of my votes is for the 1994 - 1997 Nissan Maxima. Most economical, powerful, comfortable, had decent handling, reliable and lastly not to painful to work on. Still see them now pulling upwards of 5 grand for a minter.

Your thoughts folks..

Regards, OneMadMan
