I’m on a US based diesel mechanic page, and the all hate CA with a passion.
But it appears from comments deleting any form of emission control nationwide is a no go, massive fines for the operator and tech or workshop responsible (if managed to be caught).

Quote:
The NHVR and state or territory police services investigate companies suspected of engine remapping. Operators, executive officers and companies can receive penalties for these serious criminal offences including up to $340,000 or up to five years imprisonment for an individual and up to $3.4 million dollars in fines for a company with a category 1 breach.

Mates looking at getting his T610SAR remapped to turn off the SCR but its not worth the risk, look at the penalties on offer there, and the people at NHVR are like Highway Patrol, they'd be itching to get someone on one of those offences and will move heaven and earth to pull you up on that I reckon.
