I don't really have a budget per se. I suppose up to $1000 but would spend extra for the right mower. I would rather spend extra and be happy rather than spend less and be cursing it each I mow the lawn for the next 5 years.
If I was happy to settle for OK, I would just go and buy a Victa at bunnings.
Having said the above, I do want one with a catcher. The wife doesn't like the grass being left close to the house as she gets hay fever (basically within a metre or two from the front veranda where she sits each afternoon).
