No need to apoligise DFB.
Thanks for your input, I'll look into it, I've read soapy water sprayed on could be an ok excercise but not an out and out deterent.
CB, this one is only a 4yr old young tree and in good position, lots of sunshine etc.....and been going ok through our weather cycles to me, infact it was healthy as, this has occured just the last month.
It puzzles me why mind you, we have another bit younger not effected to date.
