You will probably find that Ford will distance themselves from installing anything bought online.

I had a warranty claim for the chrome trim on my Focus steering wheel. I was told that they need to replace the WHOLE WHEEL at a cost if $1200.

I told them the trim looks like it's just glued on, and sure enough, you can buy them online for around $20. When I told the dealer about this they just told me it isn't how the part comes and that a new wheel was needed.

Why all the arguments?? It was 1 month out of warranty and they wanted to slug me with the cost of the wheel...
