AU 16" tyre size

What's the biggest tyre for 16" rims on the front of our beasts?
My work ute / RTV mock up has 215/60/16 now, and I assume the RTV 215/65/16 will fit too.
At what size will it hit the top ball joint?
235/60/16 is the same diameter as the RTV tyre, but obviously wider. Has anyone tried these?
Or even 225/60/16?
