I'm not planning on doing any further engine mods... that's why I asked the Q.
The stock engine has plenty of power for me. I'm really noticing the extra sound at 2000+RPM now, kind of an extra drone above the growl of the engine working a bit, so it's gotta be the new intake stuff. I might swap back to the factory snorkel and box lid to see for sure.
