First dealer I went to was the same, this is the price, brand new, but only if you buy it today. 2 of them were trying to pressure me to buy the car that day, a Friday, but I was adamant I wanted to shop around and would buy one the next week. They said that 'special price' won't be available on the Monday. Just by that comment, they guaranteed a no sale. Why do they even bother to get out of bed in the morning!
Maybe not at that dealer but I'm sure it will be at another dealer. When the first salesman said to me, 'hey, come and have a look at the dash lights', I had an inkling things weren't going to go right at this dealer. Geez, I'm 46 not 16yrs old.
Anyway, went out on the Monday to another dealer, asked what his best price was, no trade-in, and did the deal within an hour. So easy for some.
